Trusted help around the home, from neighbours you can count on.
SilverServe connects Grande Prairie seniors with local, police-checked helpers for snow shoveling, errands, tech help, and small home fixes — so you can keep living in the home you love.
Help in three easy steps
No apps to learn, no accounts to manage. If you can answer the phone, you can use SilverServe.
Tell us what you need
Join the waitlist and tell us what would make life easier — a shoveled driveway, groceries picked up, help with the TV remote.
We match you
We pair you with a vetted local helper and confirm one clear price before any work starts. No surprises, ever.
They show up
Your helper arrives, does the job, and you pay simply. You rate them after — only the most trusted helpers stay on SilverServe.
What our helpers do
The practical stuff that keeps a household running — done by someone you'd be glad to have at your door.
Snow & ice clearing
Driveways, walkways, and steps cleared after every snowfall — before your morning coffee.
Errands & groceries
Prescription pickups, grocery runs, parcels dropped at your door — with a friendly hello.
Technology help
Patient, in-person help with phones, tablets, TVs, and video calls with the grandkids.
Small home fixes
Light bulbs, smoke-detector batteries, wobbly handles, picture hanging — the little things.
Rides & appointments
Reliable rides to appointments, the pharmacy, or visiting friends — door to door.
Yard & seasonal
Lawn mowing, leaf cleanup, garden help, and getting the yard ready for each season.
Vetted like family would vet them
Inviting someone into your home takes trust. Here's exactly how every SilverServe helper earns it.
Police background check
Every helper passes an RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check — the same screening used for people who work with seniors and children — renewed every year.
References & interview
We check references and meet every helper in person before they join. Most applicants don't make it through — and that's the point.
Rated after every job
Seniors rate each visit. Helpers who don't keep a top rating don't stay on SilverServe. Simple as that.
Local & accountable
Our helpers are your Grande Prairie neighbours — not strangers dispatched from a call centre three provinces away.
Neighbours, not nurses.
We'll be straight with you: SilverServe is everyday help from trusted neighbours — not medical care. We don't do nursing, medications, bathing, or personal care, and we never will. If what you need is healthcare, we'll tell you so honestly and point you toward the right people.
Good neighbours make great helpers.

Questions, answered honestly
When does SilverServe launch?
This winter, starting with snow season in Grande Prairie — that's when help is needed most. Waitlist members get first booking access before we open to the public.
How much does it cost?
One clear price per job, agreed with you before any work begins. No contracts, no memberships required, no surprise fees.
How are helpers vetted?
Four layers: an RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check (renewed yearly), reference checks, an in-person interview with us, and ratings after every single job. Helpers who don't keep a top rating don't stay.
Is this home care or nursing?
No — and we're upfront about it. SilverServe is strictly non-medical: everyday help from trusted neighbours. We don't provide nursing, medications, bathing, or personal care, and we never will.
Which areas do you serve?
Grande Prairie to start. As we grow, we'll expand across the Peace Country — waitlist members outside the city will be first to know.
I'm not great with technology. Can I still use this?
Absolutely. You can book by phone with a real person, and a family member can manage bookings on your behalf if you'd like. No smartphone required.
